600 group discussion topics for placements

Current, India-focused GD topics in 30 categories, from campus life and careers to technology, business, policy and society. Pick one, set a timer, and practise: 600 is more than enough to prepare for any panel.

Showing all 600 topics.

How to use these topics

  1. Pick a topic and give yourself 30 seconds to think. Don’t start speaking until you have a position.
  2. Structure it: define the topic in one line, name two or three stakeholders, give one fact or example for each, then state your view.
  3. Speak for 90 seconds, then summarise for 20. Record yourself if you can; filler words (“basically”, “you know”) show up quickly.
  4. Practise the other side. Argue the opposite for the same topic. Panels reward people who can build on others’ points.
